Games Drawing to a Close

The 2010 Arctic Winter Games are drawing to a close. All sporting events finished yesterday, and the closing ceremonies are scheduled to take place tonight at 6:00 p.m. Athletes and cultural performers should be congratulated for all their efforts throughout the week. Everyone accomplished so much! Well done!

Team Nunavik-Québec will leave Grande Prairie, Alberta, Sunday morning at 7:00 p.m. Air Inuit’s 737 is scheduled to arrive in Puvirnituq at 1:00 p.m. (Nunavik time) and then in Kuujjuaq at 3:00 p.m. We’re really looking forward to getting home. See you soon.

 

Total Medal Count

Gold, 11. Silver 9. Bronze 16. For the names of all medallists and their events refer to Recent News under the Info tab above.

 

We Did It! 36 Medals!

Team Nunavik-Québec’s final day at the 2010 AWG was a resounding success. With only 48 athletes, our total medal count is 36. Of special note, Deseray Cumberbatch hit a world record (7.90 m) in Arctic Sports triple jump!
